The Nobel Committee announced today that the 2009 winner of the Nobel Peace Prize is President Barack Obama, for his work in international relations.  Are you surprised?

There have been two other sitting US presidents that received the Peace Prize…Teddy Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson.  Both of these men were anti-capitalists and strong believers in collectivism.

Barack was nominated Feb 1st, meaning he had been in office about two weeks.  Yeah, he earned it.

The recipiant of the Nobel Peace Prize, unlike all of the other Nobel prizes, is selected by a panel of five politicians chosen by the Norweigan government.

Though President Obama has denounced it himself, most of the left is now saying that if you don’t agree with the president’s policies, especially his health care plan, you must be a racist.  So how do you feel about it?  Personally I know that it is the last resort of a political party in meltdown, but I can feel the frustration some people must have about it.

Take someone that voted for Obama, that is quite happy with their current health care.  They know that they aren’t racist, hell, they voted for a black man!  Yet, the powers that be are calling this person a racist.  So  they get very frustrated, maybe even mad.  But they are terrified of their health care being changed.  Is calling them a racist going to change their mind?  Yeah, they may change their mind, but not about the health care plan.

That’s what I was thinking about this morning.  What is this supposed to do, calling us racists?  I know that I am not a racist.  You know that you aren’t.  But does it piss you off being called one?  Will it piss you off enough to not vote for a democrat next November?

All it would take is a word from the president to stop this…a two minute talk on national TV, telling the democrats to stop.  He rules the party, they will listen to him.  But he refuses.  So my question is, does he really believe it and just say that he doesn’t?

Former president Jimmy Carter, easily the worst US president of the 20th century, has decided if you don’t support Obamacare, it is because you are a racist.  Carter has spent the past 30 years trying to atone for his failed presidency, and this is just another part of it.  Carter has an uncanny knack for always being on the wrong side of an issue.  Why has he left the geriatric ward to bless us with his opinion?  Maybe he’s hoping Obama’s presidency will be worse than his.

Joe Wilson calls Obama out

Congressman Joe Wilson (R-SC) told President Obama what he thought during the President’s “State of the Health Care Plan” address.  Finally, a Republican grew some testicles.  Of course he was forced to apologize immediately, but he still has not backed down from what he believes.

Unfortunately, Congressman Wilson was probably wrong.  The President remarked that “his” health care plan would not cover illegal aliens.  Since it will be four years until the plan actually starts kicking in, the President meant what he said, considering there will probably be no illegal aliens in the US…I mean, Obama does have four years to give them amnesty.
